Church leaders join the ‘mydaftar campaign’ & give their support

Two church leaders endorsed the campaign and have called on their community leaders to play an active role in the documentation campaign. Bishop Solomon of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and Rev Jeyaraj, President of the Tamil Methodist churches spoke words of support during a briefing session at the Tamil Methodist Church, Brickfields on Jan 21, 2011

Bishop Solomon encouraged the leaders to play and active role by going to the ground prior to the campaign and registering the cases. He also encouraged the community leaders to take the document needy people to the respective JPN office during the campaign period. Rev Jeyaraj recognized that this was a very important initiative of the Federal government and expressed his full commitment

About 20 community leaders from around the Klang valley representing their social concern committees gathered to hear Dato Siva Subramanim share on the objectives of the campaign and strategies to be adopted. Also present was Datuk Dr Denison Jayasooria

The Taskforce has gained the support of a number of religious organizations including the Hindu Sangam. Taskforce officials met the Hindu Sangam leaders at their HQ in Petaling Utama on Jan 2, 2011
